Abed Al Rahim Al Qenai Mosque

Sidi Abd Al
Rahim Al Qenai is one of the religious people that
served god and islam . he was born in 521 h /1127
and in traghai , beside sebta city , Morocco . he
came to Qous from Mecca with his friend Shiah Maged
Al Din AlQushirea , The Emam of Al Omari

Mosque After a
while he went to qena and settled down there . the Wali of
Egypt ( the governor) appointed him to be the shiah of Qena
that is to give the religious and legal opinion to the
people this is why he was named Al Qenai He Devoted his life
to serve God by teaching people the religious rules of Islam
, He died in 592 h and was buried in Qena Each year there is
a celebration of his birthday starting in the first half of
Shaban and last for 15 day

It is very
antique mosque that goes back to the fatimi,s
age . prince Mohamed of the Islamic army built
it in 472 h it has a unique pulpit that was
built in 550 h |
it is one of the three pulbit built by prince tilal
ben Rozik Al Qaddi : the pulbit of al omari Mosque in
Qous , the pulbit of Saint Catherine in Sinai and the
pulbit of Harbon mosque in palestine
